The internet used to be better, we all know that. People used to need to know how to code to make a website. On average, HTML takes people around 8 hours to learn the basics, CSS is around 30 hours, and Javascirpt atleast a couple months. Now people throw together their websites with basic template makers like squarespace and wix. These websites have no soul and no creativity. This death of creativity has started a resurgance of acutally well made websites. Domains of Neocities and Nekoweb mimic the original value of geocities. I started a group that tries to rebel against the new, modern, web.

The first group of sites were made with squarespace. See how bland and uncreative they are? (No hate towards the creators of the sites. If squarespace was more versitile and not the indistry standard, the sites would be better.) The second group is hosted by neocities.

You need to meet curtain requirments to join the Fuck Squarespace Webring.

• You need a website. (This can either be a custom domain or a freehost service)
• It can't be made using any website template service. Just self coded HTML, CSS, and JS.
• It has to match the web1.0-2.0 aesthetic
• No modern, sleek design.
• No racism, homophobia, sexism, etc.
